Internete surasta informacija yra įvairi: populiarios interneto svetainės, straipsniai iš portalų, konferencijų medžiaga, elektroninės knygos, enciklopedijos, moksliniai straipsniai ir kt. Plagiato tikrinimo programos palygina daug rašto darbų ir galima sužinoti, kokie darbai yra parašyti panašiai, koks tekstas yra vienodas ir kt. Šis punktas yra prevencinė priemonė tiems, kurie nenori atkreipti dėmesį į pirmus tris punktus.
